Our properties are located in the Charente Maritime département on the west coast of France. This is an area renowned for white sandy beaches, beautiful flower-filled Cognac countryside and oysters.

There are large areas of woodland and forests and the agricultural land is used principally for growing sunflowers, grapes, wheat and maize.

In many parts of the region, vineyards and sunflower fields stretch for as far as the eye can see.

The micro-climate makes it the second sunniest region in France (after the Cote d'Azur). The area is very popular with French tourists and numerous Parisians keep holiday homes in the area.

Our cottages are in the peaceful hamlet of Le Pouzat. They are only two minutes away from the village of Loulay offering all the essentials for French living. Ten minutes away is the larger historical market town of St Jean D'Angely, offering a wide range of entertainment, shops and restaurants.
